Wastewater Treatment Plant Delta V Specialist

Primary Purpose: Operate Wastewater Treatment Plant utilizing the Delta V computer system.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and always acting in a safe manner.
  • Monitor the processes of the water treatment plant (gauges, dials or other indicators).
  • Ability to learn, understand and operate Delta V operating software.
  • Ability to understand conditions of the water flow process and make adjustments as needed.
  • Ability to input shift results to the workbook.
  • Knowledge of pump, flow meters and vacuum operations.
  • Have working knowledge of the operation of the wastewater bug farms.
  • Ensure the water plant equipment is functioning properly.
  • Must have knowledge of Water Plant Daily Balance paperwork.
  • Safe Boiler Operations.
  • Knowledge of flow of water through system.
  • Work with WWTP Operator to ensure daily checks are completed.
  • Performs job in a safe manner, following all safety procedures.
  • Require regular and punctual attendance.

Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Will substitute one-year of steady work history.


Experience:

  • 6Safety Program
  • One (1) year of related experience
  • Excellent computer skills a must.

Physical/Mental Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must wear all required protective equipment, and work in an indoor environment during a 12-hour shift. Must pass a company physical and drug screen. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator, hard hat, safety boots, protective eye wear, hearing protection, face shields, Tyvek suit, apron, heavy gloves, and uniforms. Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.


Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment can be moderately noisy.
