Training Coordinator

Primary Purpose: Schedules and tracks all training for employees at the facility. Instructs or assists training programs or events. Provides clerical support on an as needed basis.

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate and track training for the facility
    • New hire
    • Safety and Compliance
    • Ensure training materials (presentations, hand outs, food, etc.)
    • Ensure training completion

  • Manage compliance systems
    • Verify reports (MOCs, permits, etc.) are completed (accurate and timely)
    • Record necessary information
    • Update tracking tools, loading documents into Lessonly
    • Communicate with department on due items
    • Follow up on incorrect or deliquent items

  • Complete clerical duties
    • Filing, scanning, mailing, make copies, etc.
    • Mandatory training (HAZWOPER, RCRA & DOT)
    • Respirator Fit Test
    • Medical Files
    • Personal Training (e.g. Monthly Safety meeting copies for each employee every month)
    • New Hire Test/Paperwork
    • Other duties as assigned

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required


Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize workload
  • Multi-task with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Physical ability to lift and move approximately 25
  • Display flexibility with work schedule and to be able to balance multiple priorities
  • Ability to work well with employees/customers internal and external to the department
  • Work with a great deal of confidentiality
  • Perform tasks accurately with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple activities
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • EHS, DOT, HAZWOPER, RCRA knowledge is a plus
