Supply Chain Analyst

Primary Purpose

Evaluate, categorize, and assimilate information regarding waste and recycling facilities to aid in the management of secondary materials to the highest and best use. The successful candidate will be able to evaluate existing information and gather additional data on the waste management industry. The qualified candidate will be able to evaluate and integrate the information into current business practices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Collecting and analyzing supply chain data.
  • Recommending improvements to boost performance and reduce cost.
  • General understanding of environmental regulations, specifically as they pertain to solid and hazardous waste.
  • Integrate with waste approvals, supply chain, research, and compliance departments.
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements.
  • Plan and implement Supply Chain optimization projects.
  • Evaluate vendor operations.
  • Collaborate with IT professionals to implement effective systems.
  • Track KPI's and report on Supply Chain's performance.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Logistics, Business Analytics, Mathematics or related filed required.

Experience: 2+ years prior relative intern/co-op or real-world experience required in Supply Chain, Logistics, or similar role.

Knowledge and Abilities: Familiarity with purchasing practices. Ability to learn Land & Disposal Regulations, and their impact on waste disposal. Basic understanding of Logistics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Computer skills necessary to determine the proper format for work products.   Strong analytical skills and business acumen. Experience in datamining, analysis, and reporting.   Problem-solving aptitude. Attention to detail. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
