Split/Repack Technician

As the Split Technician you will be responsible for assisting in the repacking of hazardous material into kiln ready charges before the containers are sent to a facility for incineration.

Essential Functions:

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Assist in building split containers, repacking hazardous material to meet kiln specifications and DOT requirements, and labeling containers to meet DOT requirements.
• Must be able to work well with others and have an eagerness to learn.
• Utilize through knowledge of storing and processing procedures based on Heritage's protocols.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Requires regular and punctual attendance.

Skill/Education:

• 24-hour HAZWOPER
• 1 - 3 years of manufacturing experience strongly preferred
• Ability to operate forklifts strongly preferred
• Ability to use Microsoft Office
• Must be able to understand and carryout written and oral instructions.
• Must be able to communicate effectively

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must wear all required protective equipment, and work in an outdoor environment and withstand exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and must pass a company physical and drug screen. Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
