Service Technician Driver

About the position:

The Service Technician Driver will be responsible for all slag and ash duties.  There will be eight positions (2 per crew).  The Service Tech Driver must be a Service Tech I currently.  This group will have their own draft, separate from the others.  

 Requirements:

• Good safety habits and good problem-solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Must be a "team player"
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Surfaces include flat, inclined, lifts, stairs and ladders.
• Must be able to currently perform slag and ash duties.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

 Minimum Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with equivalent experience.
• Truck driving experience is a plus

 Responsibilities include:

• Manage slag and ash equipment onsite to maintain continued operation of the slag and ash conveyors.
• Prepare slag and ash equipment for transport to landfill.
• Work with Production Chemist GMs to move 10-day trailers to and from the unloading docks.
• Operate straight truck to dump dropped loads and PITMIX boxes into the pits.
• Ensure proper electronic functions (bulk moves, trailer switch outs, etc.) are completed.
• Complete daily and weekly inspections on all vehicles used for the job.
• Responsible for housekeeping of the Conveyor and 90-Day areas.
• When not performing Service Tech Driver duties, will perform Service Tech I duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
