Product Owner - IT

Primary Purpose

The Product Owner will have Logistics or Waste Management company experience and will have time allocated for the implementation of creative solutions (separately from the main responsibilities). This person will be expected to drive the highest quality and strongest sense of strategy focus on each project that is worked on.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Carry out the functions of the Product Owner
• Work closely with stakeholders to create and maintain a product backlog
• Organize product delivery in a way that maximizes business value and effectiveness of the development teams
• Organize effective interactions between the client and the project team
• Work closely with the stakeholders to gather requirements and define operational and business tasks
• Analyze, document, and manage technical and business requirements throughout the project's lifecycle
• Form the vision of the product in cooperation with the Senior IT Leadership
• Consult with the stakeholders and Technology team to choose the best way to create the product
• Closely collaborate and participate in defining the product vision, road-map, product strategy, KPIs, product design, and growth opportunities
• Research and analyze market, the users, and the roadmap for the product
• Follow our competitors and the industry
• Participate actively in all Scrum processes
• Keep abreast with the recent approaches and best practices in designing customer-oriented user-interface
• Collaborate with the UX team and make data-driven decisions on UX design
• Develop products towards flexibility, scalability, and the highest level of automation for configurations and installations in the back-office tools
• Conduct constant research and incorporate potential regulatory or licensing requirements in the product features and functionalities
• Manage a team of up to 5 people

Education: Bachelor's Degree in related area required.

Experience: Minimum 2+years in Product Management (as a product owner) required. Minimum 2+ years working with software products required. Experience managing a team backlog, breaking down requirements, writing user stories, and validating customer needs are met preferred. Experience with Agile processes and tools, such as Scrum, Kanban, and/or the Scaled Agile Framework. Understanding of OKR Management methodology.

Knowledge & Abilities: Strong negotiation, strong organizational, management, analytical and people skills. Work with cross functional groups to gather and consolidate requirements. Strong problem-solving skills in business optimization, strategic solutions, and progressive responsibility. Ability to prioritize work to address immediate needs, while keeping in mind long term decisions, and not over-investing. Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills. Product oriented thinking. Excellent written and verbal communication. Self-motivated with a strong focus on the delivery of strategic value. An effective communicator with experience in influencing and managing a large list of stakeholders with conflicting and competing priorities. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
