Procurement Analyst

Primary Purpose

Investigate, formulate and assist in implementation of sourcing strategies for supply chain through organizational evolution, market assessment, and detailed data and spend analysis.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Collect and analyze data from various sources to help the team identify root cause issues, understand organizational and industry trends, measure supplier performance, and uncover areas for improvement.
  • Develop strategies to maximize operational efficiencies Ans cost effectiveness of the entire supply chain.
  • Ensure that all sourcing and procurement activities support and are aligned with supply chain strategies.
  • Conduct research to ascertain products and suppliers in terms of best value, including price, quality, and performance.
  • Provide recommendations and feedback to management to improve products and services in terms of supplier selection based on responsiveness, lead time, cost, and other buying recommendations.
  • Support and manage relationships by communication with suppliers as needed.
  • Provide data analysis and supplier performance measurements to the team as a tool to improve supplier effectiveness, uncover potential cost saving opportunities, and improve customer and organizational satisfaction.
  • Conduct comprehensive market, supplier, and spend analysis for all assigned categories.
  • Navigate and analyze complex data to identify and pursue supply/ supplier opportunities.
  • Manage and facilitate strategic supplier relationships and performance through regular supplier business reviews.
  • Researches, analyzes, and forecasts current and future buying trends, markets, styles, and products with attention to specified target market and demographics.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement internally and throughout the supply chain.
  • Improve quality and delivery by developing and executing supplier improvement plans through monitoring performance regularly and leading key initiatives.
  • Additional Supply Chain tasks as needed.

Education: Bachelors Degree required. Bachelors of Science in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain, Business Analytics or similar degree highly preferred.

Experience: 2-5 years professional experience preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent communication and relationship building skills. Demonstrate excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in MS Office applications and Excel is required. Strong Data Analytical Skills. Excellent problem solving skills. Familiarity with supply chain management. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
