Outbound Logistics Coordinator

Primary Purpose

Coordinate all outbound "Fuel" shipments (Tankers, Pail Loads, End Dumps, etc.) with Plant personnel, Transportation Dispatchers and outlets to efficiently schedule all shipments in a timely manner.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
  • Act as a back-up to Delta V Operator (Break/Lunch)
  • Provide internal Liquid Load Records & Tanker Schedule to the plant manager for tankers leaving that day
  • Dispatch all outbound loads (Hazardous & Non-Hazardous End Dumps & pail loads) with our Transportation dispatchers.
  • Interact with the disposal facilities regarding scheduling and any receiving requirements.
  • Prepare, maintain, and provide manifests and supporting documentation for all outbound loads
  • Review lab analytical and EPA codes to determine outlet acceptability for outbound loads
  • Notify transporters of faulty equipment and work with them to obtain replacement equipment or get the equipment repaired and back to load in a timely manner
  • Retrieve information on inbound bulk shipments (BTU, water, and amount quoted) and log on inbound schedule.
  • Review lab analytical and EPA codes to determine outlet acceptability for outbound loads
  • Log all outbound shipments for tracking, associated problems and accounting to utilize
  • Preparation of reports for plant management
  • Cross training on other positions as needed

Skill/Education:

  • Excellent computer skills using Excel & Word
  • DOT, EPA,RCRA, local and state regulations
  • 2 years Hazardous waste experience

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must pass a drug screen. Must be able to come for callouts if needed. Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.

Work Environment: The work environment is moderately noisy.
