Oracle EPM Administrator

Primary Purpose: The Oracle EPM Administrator will support the Accounting and Finance team in the development and administration of Host Analytics and Hyperion Planning & Essbase applications. This position will support key business activities related to the creation and delivery of accurate, reliable financial forecasts / budgets, financials, and operational results. Additionally, this person collaborates with accounting leadership as the team works together, aligned with the company vision and strategy, to provide accurate and timely financial information to company management. This role is highly visible and will require an individual who can not only lead the charge, but also complete the work, drive initiatives, and mentor and develop staff.


Essential Functions and Requirements:

  • Ensure Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and performing in a safe manner at all times.
  • Lead the ongoing development and utilization of Oracle EPM financial planning tools across the organization to improve operational and financial transparency.
  • Collaborate with Accounting Directors and other functional leaders to deliver, maintain and enhance the effective use of our EPM applications.
  • Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial planning and reporting capabilities across the organization.
  • Maintain existing Host applications, Essbase cubes, and process flows and designs and develop additional applications and functionality as required.
  • Perform administrative activities for the EPM applications.
  • Provide timely response and resolution of emergency production questions, issues, and defects. Participate in requirements sessions and prepare detailed functional specifications, design models, and system workflows from which software applications will be developed and implemented.
  • Drive process change and improvement to reporting based on the goals and key metrics of business.
  • Creative about presenting visualizations of data to provide insights to the company performance.
  • Provide alternatives and recommendations based on best practices.
  • Develop test scenarios, test scripts and lead teams in unit, integration and acceptance testing.
  • Develop and facilitate business end-user training to build the knowledge of the team.
  • Lead application development projects as assigned.
  • Assist with set up and maintenance of end user security, which includes creating and provisioning of user groups, filters and security profiles in alignment with the needs of the business.

Education: Bachelor's Degree required.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of industry related experience and continued professional development required. Strong Oracle EPM knowledge required.

Knowledge and Abilities:

This highly visible role is responsible for the development and implementation of Oracle EPM applications across a large organization. Demonstrated analytical skills and techniques, intellectual curiosity, and proven record of making a positive difference in the outcome of projects is required. Keen ability and affinity for influencing, building trust and credibility, and collaborating with cross-functional teams and leaders. Strong business acumen and an understanding of value to assist in analyzing business information to provide insights. Polished and effective communication skills, keenly skilled in questioning, challenging, and inquiring with tact and diplomacy. Successful track record in project management, leading cross-functional project teams, communicating the purpose, objectives, timeline, deliverables, and results. Highly skilled in all advanced functionality in Oracle EPM. Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Financials is a plus. Ability to envision, create, process, and deliver data-driven analyses via savvy presentation skills. Ability to thrive in a hands on, opportunistic, problem-solving culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary to document and effectively translate financial information to operations and commercial colleagues. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
