Operations Planner
PURPOSE:
Manage and coordinate all incoming waste including the Heritage 10 Day network and work closely with Heritage schedulers to optimize business processing at facility.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors of Science degree in chemical engineering or chemistry is preferred.
Five years industrial experience
Must have good working knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and RCRA. Must be familiar with incineration, lab packs, and material handling processes. Must possess basic computer skills in Word and Excel.
Good working knowledge of the ARTS system is preferred.
PRIMARY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and/or promote safe work environment with a 'safety first' culture
Manage and assist the Production Chemists and Outbound & Transportation Coordinator
Assist in setting metrics and goals to help drive and increase efficiencies
Help manage the inventory in the tank farm and pump out tanks relative to the desired waste matrix
Help manage the container inventory including the backlogged waste to determine most effective means of processing containerized waste
Assist with the determining the cause of exceedances
Provide BOP management coverage when needed
