Off-Spec Coordinator

Primary Purpose                                                             

Coordinating all off-specs and maintaining HES-Plant 10-day Drum paperwork                                                    

Essential Functions and Responsibilities                                                

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.                                                   
  • Coordinates all off-specs (Bulk and Drum) while communicating the problems to their respective Customer Service Team, plant operations, compliance personnel, etc.                                                        
  • Ensures all issues are corrected and documented, charged (if applicable) and finalized in a timely and correct manner.                                                                
  • All off-specs include compliance, physical, and chemical problems associated with the loads.                                                        
  • Review 10-day loads (Manifest, Lab data, etc.) for the plant and manage their status related to inbound plant needs (release loads).                                                
  • Heavy use of Heritage computer system (MMS) to update inventory and other related information.                                                          
  • Assist with Check-in and create inventory related to manifests managed by HES, HT, and others.                                                
  • Employee shall be fully trained in DOT and RCRA Manifesting procedures in order to understand, review, and update manifests in a compliant manner.                                                            
  • Fully understand and be able to perform the container sampling duties, including use of PPE, sample collection, bar-coding of containers, troubleshooting of issues, and entering of data via handheld scanner.                                                         
  • Assist with managing the Metrics Table. Documenting the daily numbers from Inbound to Number of Drums sampled per day.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Experience: 3 - 4 years of related experience required. 40 hour HAZWOPER Training completion required.                                                                                                                                                                                                    

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Excellent working knowledge of EPA, DOT and OSHA regulations required. Excellent knowledge of general industry practices required. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, including respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.                                                                                                                                                                  

A post offer drug screen will be required.
