Off-Spec Coordinator

Primary Purpose: Coordinating all On-Holds for the Benton Plant.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

    • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
    • Manage the Benton Plant On-Hold Aging Report, On-Hold items include all non-confirming items that are placed on hold and cannot be processed, as well as off-spec broker drums.
    • Work with CX in resolving line counts.
    • Review the problem tracking report to ensure comments are being updated.
    • Single point of contact for employees needing additional information once receiving an on-hold email. This includes pictures or customer drum #'s etc.
    • Assist CX team in figuring out a resolution to their on-hold items.
    • Work with Benton Plant Approvals Group on resolutions to on-hold items.
    • Ensures all issues are corrected and documented and finalized in a timely and correct manner.
    • Update MMS information after holds are resolved.
    • Communicate with outbound logistics coordinator to ensure reject manifest are printed and ready
    • Communicate with plant personnel on the dates / times reject loads are going out, so they have the staff and are prepared to load

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 3 - 4 years of related experience required. Must be knowledgeable in DOT / RCRA / Waste Profiling and MMS

Knowledge and Abilities: The ability to work without direct supervision is a must. Must have working knowledge of EPA, DOT and Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Must possess problem solving skills and be able to pay close attention to detail.
