Marketing Coordinator, Customer Engagement

Primary Purpose                                                      

Coordinate successful customer-facing events, including compliance trainings and several key conferences, nurturing customer relationships, elevating the Heritage brand, and supporting thought leadership strategy.                                                          

Essential Functions and Responsibilities                                                     

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.                                                  
  • Coordinate successful customer-facing events, including compliance trainings and several key conferences, nurturing customer relationships, elevating the Heritage brand, and supporting our leadership strategy.                                                         
  • Interact with customers, prospects, and industry contacts, representing Heritage while demonstrating a strong sales and customer experience mindset.                                                     
  • Design and write for event collateral, signage, ad placements, and branded merchandise. Partner with other graphic design and copy writing professionals (outsourcing where needed).                                                       
  • Support several key conferences, working closely with the Heritage team and event organizers. Ensure sponsorship benefits and thought leadership opportunities are fully leveraged.                                                   
  • Partner with subject matter experts across Heritage to prepare compelling content for industry publications and speaking opportunities, reinforcing Heritage's expertise and creditability in the Environmental Services industry.                                                      
  • Coordinate regulatory compliance trainings, working closely with colleagues from Heritage's compliance team, service centers, customer experience and sales. Attend as needed based on size and marketing strategy.                                                      
  • Schedule training dates with hotels, partnering with their event staff to execute and manage contracts and banquet orders. Develop a system to book repeat business with preferred hotels for the following year.                                                         
  • Recommend collateral, giveaways and other items to be ordered for trainings, working closely with service center leads and sales reps and collaborating with marketing and the Heritage company store.                                                 
  • Answer customer questions in a friendly and timely manner, ensuring a positive perception of Heritage from pre-event registration to post-event follow up.                                                      
  • Use the event campaign system (Salesforce) to enter and update training details and attendee records; generate registration reports, sign-in sheets, and nametags; and upload links and event materials.                                                      
  • Drive compliance training logistics improvements, identifying and implementing efficiency and cost saving opportunities, while ensuring the team maximizes the investment while staying on budget.                                                     
  • Present training ROI using Salesforce reports and dashboards, providing financial recaps to leadership (focused on attendance, spend, and revenue) and recommending future strategy and investment.                                                      
  • Successful candidate must be able to travel up to 15% of the time to support key customer-facing events.

Education: Bachelors Degree required (Marketing, Communications, or Business degree preferred).                                                     

Experience: Two years of Marketing experience required. Experience in the Environmental Services industry is highly desired.                                                      

Knowledge and Abilities: Mastery of Microsoft Office products is required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher. Experience using products in the Adobe Creative Suite is preferred, but not required. Must have experience using a CRM or other platform to track and report activity (Strongly desired). Exceptional communication and organizational skills needed to execute customer-facing events of all sizes. Candidate must demonstrate an outstanding commitment to customer experience, being flexible and courteous in face-to-face interactions, as well as over phone and email. Ability to travel up to 15%. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
