Marketing Assistant

Primary Purpose

Support the Sales and Marketing team by coordinating successful customer-facing events and managing Heritage branded merchandise.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Coordinate and support tradeshows, industry conferences, and customer events, attending as needed based on size and marketing strategy.
  • Support event prep and follow-up activities with sales reps, ensuring the team maximizes tradeshow investment while staying on budget. Create and track events using Salesforce campaigns.
  • Interact with industry contacts, customers, and prospects, representing Heritage while demonstrating a strong customer experience mindset.
  • Order branded merchandise and booth materials to support event strategy and stock the Heritage company store. Recommend products and quantities to be ordered for events.
  • Pick and ship company store orders. Manage and report on inventory, making recommendations for new products and reorders to meet the needs of the business.
  • Support the Marketing Department by completing other tasks as needed, including expense reports, shipments, and office signage requests.
  • Successful candidate must be able to travel up to 25% of the time to support key customer-facing events.

Education: High School Diploma required Bachelors degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum five years of retail or general marketing/communications experience required.

Knowledge and Abilities: Mastery of Microsoft Office is required, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong organizational and communication skills are required for this position. Experience using inventory management or CRM platforms is strongly encouraged, but not required (BigCommerce and Salesforce are preferred). Ability to travel up to 25%. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
