Maintenance Supervisor

Primary Purpose

Lead all maintenance activities to ensure safe, compliant and consistent operation of the 24/7 Heritage Treatment Center in Indianapolis, IN.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Lead all preventative and demand maintenance activities in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
  • Manage staffing levels and work schedules for maintenance staff to support 24/7 plant operations.
  • Train, Direct, develop, supervise and evaluate maintenance technicians.
  • Manage CMMS system and prioritize PM and DM work orders.
  • Make daily labor/task assignments and ensure efficiency and quality of repairs.
  • Oversee toll and part inventories while adhering to budget guidelines.
  • Continuously improve reliability of production systems, facilities, and mobile equipment.
  • Collaborate efforts of maintenance, production, management, and contractors to repair and improve treatment systems.
  • Assist plant and project engineers in capital investment upgrades and repairs.
  • Conduct and document safety and compliance inspections per site and regulatory requirements.
  • Accomplish all responsibilities in a 24/7 EPA permitted hazardous waste transfer, storage, and disposal facility.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. AS/BS/MS and/or technical certifications preferred. Demonstrated experience considered in lieu of higher education.

Experience: Minimum three (3) years' experience supervising a maintenance department required.

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Must be team oriented and have strong communication skills. Must have the ability to hold others accountable and drive for results. Must demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills. Should have experience troubleshooting and repairing liquid storage, piping, and pumping systems preferred. Should have experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical distribution and control systems preferred.
