Maintenance Planner/Scheduler

Primary Purpose

The Maintenance Planner Scheduler has primary duties that include planning and scheduling of maintenance and E&I work in an industrial setting. This position will work closely with Maintenance Manager. The planner/scheduler will be responsible for parts and equipment procurement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Work with vendors and purchasing department for parts, materials and equipment procurement. Write requisitions using CMMS software
  • Perform tasks related to the development and tracking job plans and schedules.
  • Gather and input data into CMMS Software Programs.
  • Maintain schedule and update.
  • Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports.
  • Evaluates critical path, manpower, resources, equipment
  • Develop schedule from documentation.
  • Attend planning meetings with production and maintenance team to discuss future work to be planned and roadblocks from backlog.
  • Assist Maintenance managers in keeping schedules current.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: n/a

Knowledge and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools, specifically MS Word and Excel. Strong networking, interpersonal, and communication skills. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Job Safety. Knowledge of field construction and plant maintenance activities. Ability to perform field walks and access work locations. Physically able to lift/push/pull up to 20lbs, climb ladders and stairs, reach, drive a golf cart to and from field locations. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
