Leadership Associate - Operations Rotational Program
Primary Purpose
The purpose of the program is to develop an organizational bench for the ELO TSD of skilled employees that can step into leadership roles as they become available in the coming years. Candidate(s) within the program will have the opportunity to complete four 12-month rotations, across all areas of the operation.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
- Develop an understanding of how the entire operation works and build relationships with all departments through a work rotation across Incineration, BOP, Maintenance, and Laboratory departments.
- Rotation to include:
- Minimum of 12 months as an Operator Technician
- Minimum of 12 months in a BOP function (i.e. Production Chemist)
- Minimum of 12 months in Maintenance
- 6 months in mechanical maintenance
- 6 months in E/I
- Minimum of 12 months as a Laboratory Technician
- Rotation to include:
- Full immersion in planned and unplanned outage task generation and execution
- Manage a capital project including budgeting, design, construction, and implementation.
- Candidates who have already worked in any of the above listed departments will get credit for the time spent in those roles for the purposes of this program.
- Department progression plans do not apply to this role.
- Work schedule is Monday - Friday. Nights and/or weekends as needed.
This role reports to the department area managers with a dotted line to VP of Operations
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in: Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, Industrial), Science (Chemistry, Geology, Biology, Environmental), Safety, Business, or Management. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years' experience within HTS in lieu of educational requirement will be considered.
Time spent as a temporary employee, as well as any prior experience in each department, does apply.
Knowledge and Abilities: Proficient with MS Office tools. Ability to learn business specific software. Ability to analyze; demonstrated problem solving capability. Strong teamwork, networking, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization. Organizational and time management skills.
