Information Technology Support Specialist - Rineco - Benton, AR

The IT Support Specialist ensures the proper functioning of IT systems used by the local business unit.  Working closely with corporate domain specialists (network admins, service desk, storage admins, DBA's, etc.), the local IT Support Specialist installs, upgrades and supports applications, hardware components and the LAN.   Working closely with local managers, users, and vendors, they act to maximize operational uptime while providing excellent user support.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

• Must maintain a high level of confidentiality.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and lifecycle management of local software applications and related hardware in a 24x7x365 plant production environment.
• Accurately and efficiently diagnose and resolve problems related to the use of technology resources and applications.
• Provide Tier 1/2/3 troubleshooting with timely issue resolution for local IT equipment including security systems, servers, network equipment, printers, workstations, handhelds, etc.
• Provide a knowledgeable single point of contact for corporate IT
• Act as an IT liaison between local users and managers
• Ensure problems are reported using Service Now, and create and maintain systems documentation and a knowledge base for local support
• Provide local leadership for corporate and local IT initiatives and projects, coordinating vendors and staff as appropriate.
• Ensure effectiveness of backup and disaster recovery processes for local systems

• Knowledge and experience around Microsoft Windows Server/Windows 10, Office 2016, TCP/IP networking, VLANS, MS SQL databases, Printers/Scanners/MFD and business applications.
• Ability to work independently or with a team to accomplish projects on time and on budget

Education/Experience:

• Bachelors Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5 years work experience in related IT support - network administration, level 2 help desk and/or technical support doing desktop and server installations, configuration and troubleshooting
• Microsoft certifications a plus

Physical/Mental Demands: Must be able to see, hear, speak, read, write, sit, walk, bend, climb, stoop, kneel, crawl within tight areas, and lift up to 40 lbs. Minimal travel
