Facility Supervisor - Chemical Treatment

Primary Purpose                                                                                             

Supervise the daily shift for the Chemical Treatment Department                                                                                             

Essential Functions and Responsibilities                                                                                

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.                                                                                                   
• Schedules, plans and directs employees in their assigned takes ensuring production goals are met in a n efficient manner.                                                                                              
• Develops, maintains, and initiates reports on all activities for management review or required by regulations, company policies and procedures.                                                                                          
• Trains new employees in company and department procedures while monitoring and documenting adherence to the established metric goals.                                                                                              
• Interfaces with inter-department areas, other departments and management to ensure a smooth work flow throughout the facility.                                                                                 
• Ensures and documents that equipment assigned to an area are inspected and maintenance is notified when repairs are required.                                                                                     
• Participate in hiring, promotion, performance evaluations, employee counseling and termination decisions.

Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent is required. Four year college degree with a science major preferred                                                                                                                                                                                                       

Experience: Must have three to five years of waste water treatment experience and have an Indiana Waste Water Operator License Class B, C, or D.                                                                                           

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. 
Must have excellent communication skills. Good knowledge of various federal, state, and local industry-related regulations. Must have the ability to wear PPE, including respirator. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
