Electrical Maintenance Superintendent

Primary Purpose: The Electrical Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical assigned tasks and projects within the plant. Evaluate, install, operate, and maintain electrical systems safely and efficiently within plant. Assist the Maintenance manager with daily operations.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Read electrical system design plans and recommend improvements.
  • Calibrate instruments and diagnose faulty equipment.
  • Manage and lead the electrical and maintenance crew to assign ensure timely task completion and within budget.
  • Schedule preventive, predictive, and corrective electrical maintenance activities.
  • Supervise work task while validating Safe practices, and timely completion.
  • Assure employees are properly trained and equipped for work assignments.
  • Develop predictive electrical maintenance organization to improve plant reliability and efficiency.
  • Cooperate with operations in completion of safe work.
  • Provide feedback on status of work to Plant personnel.
  • Prepare reports as required.
  • Conduct quality checks and inspections to ensure electrical standards are met to ensure safety and compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Oversee departmental training.

Education: High school diploma or its equivalent required. Arkansas state Electrical license required.

Experience: 3-5 years' experience as an electrical technician required. Proven experience as an electrical superintendent or similar role required. Experience in operating hand and power tools, soldering and fault-testing equipment is required. Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or lead role is essential.

Knowledge and Abilities: Computer literacy required: proficiency in basic computer skills, including use of email, and MO365. Must be comfortable using software to perform tasks and be able to learn new software programs as needed. Strong Knowledge of electrical systems and codes. Familiarity of OSHA, EPA, RCRA and DOT regulations. Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. Attention to detail and a commitment to safety. Excellent oral, written, organization, and communication skills. Some industrial engineering training a plus. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
