Delta V Control Specialist

Primary Purpose

The operator will set controls and operate the computer and other devices used to run production requests while maintaining reports that list each job and any malfunctions that occur

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Coordinates production job streams and controls mix of jobs in the stream to achieve most efficient utilization of equipment.
• Maintains production logs on all jobs performed and reports on performance of equipment and production schedules.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of computer operating procedures and operating standards.
• Monitors system to identify any system malfunctions and initiates corrective action to maintain schedules and to ensure integrity of production and outputs.
• Maintains schedules for recurring production, assists users in planning scheduled and unscheduled production runs.
• Assists in production control, job set up and operation of peripheral equipment.
• Assists in implementing practices that will more effectively utilize MIS resources.

Education: High school diploma or its equivalent required.

Experience: Prior production computer control systems experience is preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities: An ability to plan, organize and schedule activities associated with production runs to maximize efficiency in operations. Good interpersonal skills. Previous knowledge of Excel and Outlook. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
