Data Entry Specialist - Customer Experience

Primary Purpose

Responsible for answering the switchboard phones and efficiently and accurately entering information for generators, waste streams, and quotes into the computer system. Share responsibilities for other data entry, imaging, and filing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, and processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Answering the switchboard phones from 8am to 6pm EST.
  • Accurate and timely data entry in MMS computer system (Generators, disposal quotes/waste streams, recertification letters, manifest info, tax exempt certs, etc).
  • Sorts mail and gets it to the correct person/location
  • Keeps all filing and imaging up to date and easily retrievable (manifests, approvals, re-eval letters, etc.). Documents are regulatory documents for the customers and for Heritage.
  • Help maintain image queue for documents that get stuck in the system.
  • Helps HTS plant with DEA paperwork and ARCOS entry
  • Works on special projects as needed
  • Project billing for specific accounts and Roll-of Rental for HT
  • Cross-train and back up all duties for Document Control Specialist position.
  • Files, makes copies, operates calculator, fax, scanning/imaging, or other office equipment, and answers telephone as required.
  • Performs manifest review and enters manifests into MMS system. Informs appropriate personnel of missing or incorrect data.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: 1-2 years of data entry or receptionist experience in an office setting is required.

Knowledge and Abilities: Must be detail-oriented and extremely organized. Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, Teams and Excel preferred. Must communicate well to support internal and external customers. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
