Corporate Compliance Internship

An internship with Heritage Environmental Services will offer invaluable hands-on experience for your future career, as the selected individuals will be assisting business professionals in the daily management of the various departments.

Primary Purpose

To create, extend and support the processes that extend and support the business while obtaining practical on-the-job experiences

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Provide technical and administrative support to compliance and government affairs staff for various tasks and projects
  • Ability to work independently and conduct independent research as needed
  • Willingness to seek out assistance with technical issues
  • Willingness to travel as needed to fulfill internship experience
  • Willingness to attend training for various environmental or safety programs
  • Other duties as assigned

It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.

Education: Candidate must be a full-time enrolled Junior/Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering (environmental, chemical, civil), chemistry, environmental science or similar field of study, minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.

Criteria: Must be able to complete a minimum of 10 weeks or a maximum 12 week commitment. Must be able to complete 40 hours per week.

Knowledge and Abilities: Strong analytical and problem solving abilities. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge and demonstrated use of Office software. Willingness to learn new things and contribute quickly. Timely, positive and professional work habits required. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
