Control Systems Engineer

Primary Purpose:

The Control Systems Engineer will manage, coordinate, and develop all aspects of continuous emission monitoring systems to ensure the facility is operating in a manner safe to human health and the environment. Position will also assist other Heritage locations as needed.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Maintain process related systems
• Modify software and hardware to improve process capabilities
• Maintain communication between DCS/PLC/TCPIP bases systems
• Perform data analysis to better understand process capabilities
• Train operations and maintenance personnel on computer systems
• On-call during off-work hours
• Coordinates project activities with government regulatory agencies

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum five (5) years' experience with PC operating systems, PLC, DCS, and/or SCADA programming applications. Five (5) years' experience in Visual Basic, Database programming, PC/Server networking, instrumentation, and industrial control system design. Experience with ABB Bailey Infi 90, Allen Bradley PLC, RCRA, and MACT regulations is a plus.

Knowledge and Abilities: Ability to manage multiple tasks and adhere to deadlines with shifting priorities. Excellent problem resolution, judgement, and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to both lead and work within a team environment. Ability to travel up to 30% of time to assist at other Heritage locations. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screen. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
