Confined Space Specialist

As a Confined Space Specialist, you will be responsible for Cleaning of Confined Spaces.

Essential Functions:

• This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function.
• Cleaning fuel tanks and tankers, inside and outside
• Proficient in all areas of Tank Cleaning
• Direct and train other Confined Space Specialist
• Drive Forklift
• Requires regular and punctual attendance.

 Additional Responsibilities:

• Minor repair of tanker agitators
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skill/Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Good safety record is required
• Forklift certification
• SCBA certification

 Physical/Mental Demands:  The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 70 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.  Must wear all required protective equipment (i.e., SCBA), and work in an outdoor environment and withstand exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures and must pass a company physical and drug screen.  Must be able to concentrate for long periods of time.

Work Environment:  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
