Chemical Treatment Facility Supervisor

Primary Purpose

Supervise the daily shift for the Chemical Treatment Department

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Schedules, plans and directs employees in their assigned tasks ensuring production goals are met in an efficient manner.
• Ensures all employees are working in a safe manner with any prescribed safety equipment required by company policy.
• Develops, maintains, and initiates reports on all activities for management review or required by regulations, company policies and procedures.
• Trains new employees in company and department procedures and monitors adherence.
• Interfaces with other areas and departments to insure a smooth flow of product through the treatment cycle.
• Monitors equipment assigned to area and notifies maintenance of major breakdowns.
• May participate in hiring, performance evaluation, disciplining, promotion, and termination decisions.

Education: High School Diploma or its equivalent.

Experience: Must have one to three years of related environmental experience. Indiana Waste Water License preferred.

Knowledge and Abilities: This is a safety sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function. Must have excellent communication skills. Good knowledge of various federal, state, and local industry-related regulations. Must have the ability to wear PPE, including respirator.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
