Associate Mechanic Technician

Primary Purpose:

The Associate Mechanic Technician will work hand in hand with experienced Mechanic Techs to learn the position. The goal is for this position to be prepared to fill vacant Mechanic Tech openings as they occur. However, this position does not guarantee the award of the next Mechanic Tech opening.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

• Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
• Maintain all facility equipment and vehicles.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections.
• Maintain necessary logs and records.
• Perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with equivalent experience. Mechanic experience is a plus.

Experience: Minimum of six (6) months employment with HTS.

Knowledge and Abilities: Good safety habits and good problem-solving skills. Good communication skills. Must be a "team player". Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Surfaces include flat, inclined, lifts, stairs and ladders. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
