Administrative Assistant HT

Performs various clerical functions such as payroll processing, filing, maintaining records, and operating office equipment to process Heritage Transport LLC documents.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Calculate mileage activity for payroll purposes and assist with the printing and distribution of Heritage Transport documents and order entry information.

  • Calculate owner operator settlement information checking miles and validation of orders. Make check requests to accounting and distribute checks to the appropriate parties.
  • Create and process intercompany billing for some transportation activities.Create month end reports to accounting for the financial statement and vehicle tracking.
  • Sort, distribute or post interdepartmental and U.S. mail. File invoices and other transportation related documents as needed.
  • Files, makes copies, operates calculator, facsimile and/or other office equipment, and answers telephone/switchboard as required.
  • Match up original driver payroll documents with scanned payroll documents.
  • Assist with the office management and Heritage Transports related functions as assigned.
  • Assist in the training of current and/r new employees.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of related office work experience required.

Knowledge and Abilities: Basic knowledge and understanding of office functions, and equipment. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel etc. Good organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with internal and external candidates. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.

A post offer drug screen will be required.
