Primary Purpose

Responsible for outside sales, new business development, and account management with assigned accounts or customers within territory. Support all business services for Heritage and its entities in achieving its revenue and profitability goals. Manages quality and consistency of product and service delivery Travel up to 80%.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all time.
  • Increases sales revenue and profit dollars by identifying potential new accounts and soliciting orders through personal sales calls to explain services, assess potential customer needs. Work to achieve or increase yearly goal in new business accounts.
  • Develop comprehensive sales plans for territories.
  • Make well planned, focused and strategy focused customer contacts on frequent basis to understand needs or assist with problem solving activities for the customer's needs. Some of these may be joint calls with operations, corporate account leaders or other sales employees.
  • Fosters sales relationships with target accounts and builds relationships.
  • Liaison between sales, operations, customer service and customers.
  • Maintain company contact information and document all sales calls, customer visits, and business opportunities; coordinate and complete profile information as needed.
  • Attends and participates in sales meetings and training programs; represents company at trade shows and conventions, Chamber of Commerce and other trade and professional associations.
  • Keeps informed on major environmental regulatory changes and industry trends as well as competitive conditions to work with customers and to develop customer solutions as needed, requested or identified.
  • Demonstrate ability to adapt to CORE business and customer categorization to fill up the company owned assets.
  • Demonstrate ability to manage DSO's to < 45 days.
  • Ability to work with customers to set up profiles, service time frames and ensure quality and customer satisfaction with the current offering. Works to resolve any customer concerns.
  • Ability to negotiate pricing and contract requirements.
  • Complete annual sales revenues budget and key customer initiatives.
  • Prepares, submits and interprets periodic report on activities, sales volume and expenses. Manage and control sales expenses and ensure the timely submission of business expenses.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the Company's service offerings for the business lines they offer to customers.

Education: Four year college degree required. Sales, Business, Marketing or Science preferred.

Experience: 3 years proven experience in sales or environmental position required.

Knowledge and Abilities: Must possess good communications skills, both written and verbal. Requires knowledge of computers. Working understanding of all Heritage services. Proven sales ability and account management. Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. Travel required up to 80%, overnight travel required.

 A post offer drug screen will be required. A post offer background check may be required.
