Primary Purpose

Accurate and efficient processing of transactions and invoicing for transportation and waste shipments. Interact with internal customers to ensure invoice accuracy and timeliness.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Calculates transactions based on inventory or other data provided. Performs manifest review and enters manifests into MMS system. Informs appropriate personnel of missing or incorrect data
  • Reviews performa invoices in conjunction with staff at service location, finalizes proformas, issues credit and debit invoices
  • 3rd party invoice receipt, distribution to locations and processing
  • Cross-Train with Approvals
  • Completes customer requests for weights, manifest copies and questions regarding invoices
  • May distribute signed documents and/or manifest copies to customers and/or generators
  • Accuracy critical to revenue/cost alignment in system
  • Proper understanding of cost allocations
  • Assist in reveiw of margins
  • Files, makes copies, operates calculator, flowport, or other office equipment and answers telephone as required
  • Special projects as needed

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 4-year degree preferred.

Experience: 2+ years' professional experience with customer service, accounts payable, or billing required.

Knowledge and Abilities: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external customers. Superior time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects. Strong Microsoft Office and Excel Skills. Ability to solve problems and provide solutions with limited direction. Has client focused attitude and takes ownership towards resolving customer issues with high satisfaction. Must be detail oriented and possess accurate data entry skills. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
