Onsite Project Manager Ghent KY

Primary Purpose

Individual will have overall responsibility for the operations on-site which include industrial maintenance personnel and project as well as hazardous/non-hazardous container waste management. Puts projects together, i.e., proposal/quote, equipment, labor, determines length of project and cost; ensure safety and compliance with governmental regulations and Company policies and procedures are being followed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

On-Site Management

  • Manage and schedule day-to-day on-site operations to optimize employee and equipment utilization
  • Monitor cost of on-site operations, i.e. projects, equipment and supplies, which in turn dictate pricing and profitability
  • Responsible for ensuring satisfaction of on-site clients.
  • Must be available for Emergency Response and after hours calls
  • Conduct Daily Tailgate/ Safety Meetings with employees
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations as well as company policies.
  • Interview, hire, train, evaluate performance, discipline and discharge employees within the field services department
  • Scope projects to determine equipment, labor and estimated length of project and costs. Develops written proposals for projects.
  • Plans for initiation of project by scheduling resources; submits required paperwork to start project; negotiates with on-site personnel and prepares written plans and compliance documents.
  • Manage on-site 90-day accumulation building and drum hazardous/non-hazardous waste shipments
  • Manage Oil/ Water Separator operations and off-site waste oil shipments
  • Responsible for monthly billing approval, review and approval of employee daily time sheets and various other administrative tasks.
  • Company truck provided.

Education:     Four year college degree or equivalent required.      

Experience: Minimum five or more years industrial maintenance experience in the environmental field, with some hazardous waste and management experience.

Knowledge and Abilities:  Experience in balancing and delivering multiple projects in a deadline driven environment. Ability to foster lasting relationships with clients and supplier partners. Ability to be solve problems and provide solutions with limited direction. Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate and build relationships with internal and external contacts. Superior organizational and time management skills. Ability to write business proposals. Thorough knowledge and understanding of all various federal, state, and local industry-related regulations.
